I think it depends. My daughter who is almost 7 has social anxiety- but she is more comfortable talking with adults. Talking with and being around other children is completely different. This is where her severe social anxiety comes in.

I would assume it depends on the situation. If there is an adult/or older teen who has social anxiety(like I have) then yes it was/is much easier for me to talk with younger children than it is for me to talk with adults.
References :
To me, not at all. It may be because I'm never really surrounded by children so when I am I don't know how to act and I probably just look really rude.
References :
no i do not, in fact my anxiety attacks( which are socially based) worsen when I'm surrounded by children. Though I may just be crazy.
References :
myself

Andrea, you missed the question. It appears you took her question for, "WHY do people with social anxiety find it easier to talk with children?" the real question was "DO people with social anxiety find it easier to talk to children?", which insists a yes or no answer (plus explanation). I would probably say yes, but cannot really back it up. To be honest, I merely came to this question to help out my beloved "Andrea".
